Henry Mascheroni

No biography information has turned up on this talented artist who is believed to have immigrated to the U.S. in New York.  According to Ancestry records, he was 56 in 1940 and was married to Angela with one son.  He carved into this ornate scene: Henry Mascheroni, 424 West 35th.  Assuming this was in NYC, this is near Hudson Yards.  Any other biographical information on this artist would be appreciated.
